“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence is not an act, but a habit.” – Aristotle

I have struggled my whole life with creating healthy habits, with getting things on track, with following through. It’s challenging at times and not always easy but totally worth the effort.
We so often take our health for granted until one day we realize that our bodies don’t function any more they way they used to. Then what? Why not start on time with creating habits that sustain your health and well-being? What choices do you make?

I often hear complaints about the fact that there are no guarantees for longevity and health. The list of excuses is long: Healthy food is boring, doesn’t taste good, is difficult to prepare, too time consuming to make and on it goes. I hear you. Why bother, right? Here’s the answer: Because it is YOUR life!

Sure, choosing a lifestyle that sustains your well-being involves learning, being curious and open to discovering a whole new world. That’s where I come in. I guide you on how to transition to a whole-food plant based diet, on how to adapt a new life-style, on how to choose food that’s beneficial for your health. It’s an exciting, rewarding journey!

Guarantees? They, unfortunately, do not exist but listen to this: Choosing high quality, healthy foods and living a sustainable life increases your stakes for staying healthy, for avoiding chronic diseases, for delaying aging, for vitality throughout your entire life. Doesn’t that sound fabulous? The rewards are high: More energy to deal with your daily challenges, more happiness, and vibrance.  I wish for you to wake up every morning feeling amazing (not just ok). That’s where the power of food and healthy lifestyle choices come in. You will experience it first-hand. Proper nutrition that meets your individual needs combined with a positive attitude are some of the key ingredients for feeling good on all levels.

Every house needs a good foundation to make sure it withstands the storms, the rains, and even the sunshine. The same is true for your life. You need your body to do its work well each and every day in order to thrive and be prepared for whatever comes along your way.

As a holistic nutrition consultant and wellness coach, I make sure your whole system is working well so that you feel happy and healthy. I look at all the different parts of the puzzle, at all aspects of your life and help you to find what is works best for you. Think: Health, emotions, movement, nutrition, environment, life purpose, mind-body connections, and relationships.

At the end of the day, we can’t eat like everyone else and expect to look and feel different. Are you doing the same things over and over again with the hope to get different results? Sorry … won’t work! Different outcomes can only be achieved by doing things differently, by creating habits that help us achieve our goals. What is one thing you can change today? Ditch that soda? Add more veggies and fruits to your diet? Start to mediate? Stop worrying so much?

Once your awareness about your body and the power of food grows, you will be eager to learn more and more. You will leave diets with short-term results behind and make it a habit to choose healthy food and happy thoughts. Did I mention that it’s going to be really good, really diverse, really spectacular, and really fun?  Once you shift your thinking from “I have to” to “I choose to”, things will also get a lot easier.

Are you ready to transform your health, to feel energized, to thrive? Rome wasn’t built in one day, the same is true for your health and well-being: It can’t be achieved over night. It’s a work in progress … one day at a time.

Here are some ideas of what you can do to get going:

  • A cup of warm water with the juice of half a lemon in the morning helps with digestion, re-hydrates your body, and gives a boost to your immune system.
  • Drink 8 glasses of water per day (no more extra stress on the body because of sodas). Add some lemon juice for taste. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Water helps lose weight and boost energy levels.
  • Add an extra portion of your favorite veggies for vitamins and minerals every day.
  • Be thankful! Think about 3 things you are grateful for everyday when you go to bed. You will feel and sleep better!
  • Start with 5 minutes mediation each day (Headspace is a great app for beginners)

Start your journey with these effective changes! Keep it going for 21 days to create a habit! Have fun with the process!

What else can you do today to make a difference in your life? What are some of your health goals?
